The Yamaha YZF-R3 gets a carbon fibre wrap on the windscreen and the section in between both the split seats

Chennai based Knight Auto Customizer recently wrapped a Yamaha YZF-R3 in matte Grey and also used some unique decals to highlight some features. Knight Auto Customizer has decided to use the matte Grey as the base shade which looks mature and decent while the windscreen, in particular, has been finished in carbon fibre.

The Yamaha logo positioned on the fuel tank has been finished in Black while there are plenty of decals that have been added to side fairing. Knight Auto customizer has used Fiat, Motul, Yamaha, Speed House, Yamalube, Monster, Akrapovic, and Pirelli decals which go well with the overall matte Grey shade of the motorcycle.

Knight Auto Customizer has also used carbon fiber wrap to highlight the space in between the two split seats. The matte shade and the combination of decals have given a subtle yet attractive appearance to the Yamaha YZF-R3.

The YZF-R3 that you notice in these images looks to be an old motorcycle because it does not come equipped with an ABS. For those of you who are not aware Yamaha relaunched the R3 in India with the BS4 engine at the 2018 Auto Expo. Besides the updated engine the motorcycle also featured a dual-channel ABS and Metzeler tyres as standard.

The Yamaha R3 is powered by a 321cc, twin-cylinder, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected engine. The unit paired with a 6-speed gearbox produces about 42 HP of peak power at 10,750 rpm and 29.6 Nm of peak torque at 9000 rpm.

The motorcycle depends on a conventional telescopic fork at the front and a preload-adjustable monoshock setup at the rear. The R3 uses a 298 mm disc at the front and a 220 mm disc brake at the rear.

Like we already mentioned above the R3 now gets a dual-channel ABS as standard for the safety of the rider. The motorcycle has a fuel tank capacity of 14 litres that promises to offer a decent range. The current Yamaha YZF-R3 retails at Rs 3.51 Lakhs (ex-showroom). Yamaha likely will introduce the updated 2019 YZF-R3 in India as well.
