Premium two-wheeler industry is registering positive growth, which gives confidence for manufacturers to launch global products in India and Scrambler is one of the most popular series among buyers as people can take them both off and on-road. In recent times, we have seen so many scrambler modifications on Royal Enfield and other bikes.

We have already featured couple of restored projects of RX100 but most of them are from stock. Nomad Motorcycle Chop Shop based in Pune decided to restore an old RX 100 and gave it a new life. The RX 100 was not in good condition, when it reached their hands and before modification they had to make some changes for mechanical parts.

The RX 100 Scrambler is finished in alpine camouflage and it gives a different look for the Scrambler. The front gets small LED headlamp but the housing is big compared to normal bikes. The custom shop has given small fender at front along with new telescopic suspension, which is tuned to tackle off-road.

The fuel tank is taken from stock bike but the camouflage paint makes it look like a new one and they have also given long seat which is a trademark of Scrambler bikes. The custom shop has made some changes for swing arm and at the rear, they have given dual suspension but it is placed below seat.

The custom shop chose this position for dual suspension as it could help them to raise ride height and improve comfort, when going over bad roads. The LED tail lamp is positioned just below seats. The handle bar is a single piece unit with all the modern controls but the custom shop hasn’t given instrument cluster.

The engine of RX 100 was in bad shape and it was completely rebuilt. Then it was sent out for powder coating with other engine parts. The 98 cc single cylinder producing 11 bhp of power at 7,500 rpm and 10.39 Nm of 6,500 rpm. This engine is mated to 4 speed gearbox. The custom shop hasn’t released details about pricing.
