Yamaha R15 V3.0 Special Edition Spied At A Dealership In Indonesia

With the new R15 V3.0, Yamaha has managed to create ripples in the segment, all thanks to the stunning design and the interesting features that the bike packs in. The motorcycle is now on sale in many global markets but sadly it has not made its way to the Indian shores till now. Recently, a special edition model of the Yamaha R15 V3.0 has been spied at a dealership in Indonesia. This special treatment has been offered to the bike at the dealer level and not given by the manufacturer officially.

As seen in the images, the Yamaha R15 V3.0 looks very much appealing in the jet black paint scheme along with golden decals. The gold colour makes its presence felt on the alloy wheels as well and offer an interesting touch to the motorcycle. Other than this, there are no changes to this model in comparison to the stock one.

Powering the Yamaha R15 V3.0 is a 155cc, single cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that has been assisted to a six-speed transmission set up. The fuel injected motor sheds out respective power and torque of 19 bhp and 15 Nm, making it one of the most powerful bikes in the segment. The engine also gets Variable Valve Timing (VVT) technology that enhances the performance.

The motorcycle gets its stopping done with the help of 282mm disc brake up front that pairs with a 240mm disc brake for the rear. Sadly, ABS (Anti-Lock Braking System) has been given a miss. The suspension system of this bike comprises of inverted forks up front along with a monoshock for the rear.The new R15 rides over 100/80-17M/C front and 140/70-17M/C rear tyres that come mounted over stylish 17-inch alloy wheels.

Yamaha has been tight lipped about the launch of the R15 V3.0 in India. Certain reports suggest that the motorcycle will be launched here either by 2017 end or early next year. In case this happens, expect the bike to arrive in the country at a price close to Rs. 1.40 lakh (ex-showroom).
