With the renowned MT family pedigree, the all-new MT 125 naked street bike has 125 cc engine capacity. Based on the similar platform as the highly capable Yamaha YZF R125, the bike comes equipped with modern features such as LED instrument panel, delta box frame chassis for agile handling characteristics, lighter Y-spoke race-inspired alloy wheels, parts sharing with the upmarket R 125, etc.

The MT-125 naked street bike measures about 1955 mm long, 740 mm wide and 1,040 mm tall with a kerb weight of 138 kilograms and features a fuel tank with maximum filling capacity of 11.50 litres. The ample 140 mm ground clearance protects the underside from damage while the generous 1,355 mm wheelbase will make for stress-free ride.
It comes a completely digitized LCD instrument console with a clearly readable speedometer, tachometer, fuel gauge, low fuel and battery indicators, double trip meters and so on.

Yamaha MT-125 features a fully digital LCD instrument console which includes speedometer, dual trip-meters, tachometer and a fuel gauge. There is an added convenience of low fuel, low oil and low battery indicators. It boasts a new tank design, angular halogen headlamps with LED lights, minimised body panels, split seats, lower rider seating position and most significantly a sporty upright riding position with shorter tailpiece fitted with LED tail lamps.

It derives power from a 124.7 cc four-stroke, single cylinder, liquid-cooled, SOHC motor which is capable of developing a maximum power output of 14.8 bhp at 9000 rpm and a 12.4 Nm of peak torque at 8,000 rpm governed by Electronic Fuel Injection system. The engine comes coupled with a six-speed constant mesh manual transmission. The ease of clutch use holds responsibility to the multiple-disc coil spring wet clutch besides a wet sump lubrication system for engine cooling.

The MT-125 is incorporated with a single disc brake up front with a size of 292 mm actuated hydraulically with a 230 mm unit doing duties at the rear wheels. To enable a comfy ride and negotiate the undulating road conditions, the street fighter has a 41 mm upside-down telescopic fork up front along with a linked monoshock with spring preload adjustment at the back. The gripper handling and stability are negotiated by 100/80-17 inch front tyres and 130/70-17 inch rear tyres specifically designed for the MT 125. It is sold in three colour options namely Matt Grey, Race Blue and Anodized Red in overseas markets.
