Yamaha MT-03 Patented, will fight against the likes of KTM Duke 390, Ninja Z250 and likely be priced 25,000 cheaper than YZF-R3
Yamaha has finally taken performance segment seriously. After launching the much awaited YZF-R3 in India, it is time that the naked version comes to the market as well. Naked bikes have seen demand thanks to KTM bikes which offer very good value and unmatched performance.
Yamaha wants a piece of it by introducing the MT-03 as the MT-03 has just been patented in India.
Yamaha MT-03 Patent application also shows signs that the launch is imminent, as a few months back, when the YZF-R3 was launched, the company did hint and there were confirmed stories also that the MT-03 is coming to India. MT-03 will be powered by the same YZF-R3 engine and chassis but will be devoid of fairing and will be tank scoops and engine belly fairing only. 320cc produces 42 BHP of power and 29.6 Nm of torque from its liquid cooled, fuel-injected engine. Clips ons have been replaced in favor of handlebar and a single headlight takes place instead of the twin pod lights.
