The car sold over 50,000 unit in just 8 months and those are signs of progress. Despite the fact it could actually share the fate of the SX4, which means initial hype and then its gone. However, the design and the mileage figures and NEXA branding is working and Ciaz all set to take on the competition in an exclusive way!

Maruti Suzuki Ciaz Hybrid is on the way folks and we have all the details today. First things first, this is not just a idle-stop-start system, this is a mild hybrid system with electric motors and batteries. Second thing is Maruti Suzuki will be launching this Hybrid system with the diesel engine under the hood. Maruti Suzuki Ciaz Hybrid is coming with improved mileage due to the electric motor and generator under the hood, it is currently the India’s most fuel-efficient sedan that currently delivers 26.2 km/l.
Maruti Suzuki Ciaz will come in a new V(o) variant as well, which will get ABS and EBD as standard from this variant onwards till the Z+. Yes, that’s right Maruti is now also adding EBD to the Ciaz. Second big news is that Maruti Suzuki Ciaz Hybrid and all other Ciaz variants will get Driver airbag standard across the variant. So the base V variants also gets it. However, ABS and EBD will not be standard on V variant.
A great move by Maruti and all the manufactures is seen when it comes to Safety.
