Maruti Suzuki Baleno is starting to make even more sense for buyers out there. It is offering a lot more than expected despite being a premium hatchback. Given the legacy of Maruti and its value for money aspect in every single trim, the Baleno offers as much it can on low and middle variants. The self explanatory charts show that the only things Baleno lacks are rear AC, cooled glovebox and headlight adjustment controller.
The plus side is that it get all four power windows, rear windscreen wiper and electric adjustable mirrors and turn indicators along with safety equipment being standard on all variants. Something that the competitors limit to their top variants only.
We have listed key features here and an entire table showing how the Baleno scores high against its main rivals Hyundai Elite i20 and Honda Jazz. The latter clearly doesn’t deliver much in the middle variant so let’s focus on Elite i20 instead.
The Elite i20 stays very near to the Baleno when it comes to price but it doesn’t offer facilities like parking sensors, split seats, rear fogger, wiper and much more against the Baleno.
Despite having little on offer, Honda Jazz is 40k expensive than the Baleno whilst Elite i20 is only 20k expensive. Both prices are for diesel and petrol variants respectively.

Our exclusive video shows that it gets the grille like the top-end version with the cool looking Smartplay system and meters unlike the base Sigma variant. Clearly Maruti Suzuki has done its homework here and has been generous enough to offer safety features in aplenty.
Clearly then, Baleno is already ready for export market as the Indo-Japanese company banks very heavily on that which could see a lot more demand than expected from the Baleno.
