Recently, Hyundai released a series of Television Commercials (TVC) in the Australian market that highlights several features of the mid-size electrified SUV. Hyundai has released 9 different videos for the market and each of them focusses on various features of the car.

The first advertisement is the introduction to Kona EV while the second video highlights the style of the car. The third video in the series is an overview of the vehicle while the fourth one talks about the range of the Kona EV, then the next two videos highlight the instant acceleration with zero emission and smart braking system of the car.

The last three videos are about the quietness of the Kona EV, charging and acceleration.
Hyundai will launch the all-new Kona EV in the second half of 2019 and Hyundai also plans to manufacture the vehicle right here at the Chennai plant. Hyundai will increase the capacity of the plant by 1 lakh units per year and the Kona EV is expected to be exported to the global markets from India just like many other Hyundai vehicles.

If the plan goes through, the Kona EV is expected to be priced competitively in the Indian market. Hyundai has also not clarified if the Kona EV will be manufactured or will be simply assembled after the CKD kits are imported to the Indian market. The Kona EV is expected to carry a premium price tag of around Rs 20-25 lakh in the market.

Internationally, the Kona EV is available in two trims. There is a short range trim that produces a maximum of 133 bhp and can do 300 km on a full charge. Then there is a long-range variant that can do around 470 km on a full charge and gets a more powerful 201 bhp motor.
