Volkswagen Vento Preferred Edition is based on Comfortline variant, available in petrol and diesel options

Volkswagen has launched a special edition of Vento sedan christened as Vento Preferred Edition. The limited edition is based on the Comfortline variant and is available in both petrol and diesel options. The Volkswagen Vento Preferred Edition is priced Rs. 50,000 extra over the standard Comfortline models, which makes it available from Rs. 9.74 lakh (ex showroom, New Delhi) and the price goes up to Rs. 12.17 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi). The German automaker says that, it will be available in all the Volkswagen dealerships across the country.

Earlier this year, VW launched the Celeste special edition of Vento sedan and now with the new Preferred Edition, the German automaker is expecting to reignite the spark of this sharp looking car. The Volkswagen Vento Preferred Edition gets some cosmetic updates and additional features over the standard model both at exterior and inside the cabin.

The exterior updates in newly launched special edition sedan include fully black front grille, different set of alloy wheels, blackened roof and side-moulding. The interior of this special edition sedan sports high-quality leather upholstery and a portable navigation device equipped with a wireless rear-view camera.

As we have already said, the Volkswagen Vento Preferred Edition is available in both petrol and diesel engine options. The engine choices include 1.6-litre MPI petrol, 1.2-litre TSI petrol, and 1.5-litre TDI diesel units. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual and a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. Power and torque output of these engines remain same like the standard model.

Speaking about the launch of the Vento Preferred Edition, Mr. Michael Mayer, the Director of Volkswagen Passenger Cars India, has said that, the Vento has been one of the bestselling cars in of the company since its launch in the country. He hopes that, the special edition model will increase Vento’s popularity further.
