Volkswagen Vento ALLSTAR edition dons cosmetic upgrades at exterior and inside cabin; based on Comfortline trim

Volkswagen launched the Polo ALLSTAR Edition in India last year and now the brand has introduced the Vento ALLSTAR Edition in the country. It comes as part of the Volkfest 2017 alongside the Polo and Ameo Anniversary Editions. The special edition sedan dons several cosmetic upgrades like the Polo ALLSTAR. However, mechanically this car remains same as the standard sedan.

Volkswagen Vento ALLSTAR Edition is based on the Comfortline trim of the regular model. Therefore all the standard feature of the Vento Comfortline are available in the new special edition car. Additionally, it sports Linas alloy wheels, Allstar badging on the B pillar. Like the Polo ALLSTAR, the special edition Vento too gets an all-new Blue Silk exterior paint. Other exterior colour options are expected to be introduced at later stage. The India-spec model appears more stylish compared to the Malaysia-spec model that is exported from here.

Moving to the interior of the mew Volkswagen Vento ALLSTAR, it gets a black and grey colour theme. Apart from that, there are leather wrapped handbrake, aluminium pedals, Pentastripe Anthrazit fabric seats and ‘Allstar’ badging at scuff plate and other places as well. This car will be available in a limited number to protect its exclusivity.

Speaking about the powertrains, Volkswagen Vento ALLSTAR Edition will be available in both petrol and diesel engine options. The petrol powered sedan gets a 1.6-litre engine under the hood coupled with a 5-speed manual gearbox and it is capable of churning out 105 hp of peak power and 175 Nm of peak torque.

On diesel front, the car draws energy from 1.5-litre motor capable of kicking out 110 hp of peak power and 250 Nm of peak torque. Transmission options for the diesel variant include a 5-speed manual and a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. Pricing of the car is yet to be disclosed. Expect the Volkswagen Vento ALLSTAR to be priced around Rs. 30,000 premium over the Highline Plus trim that is available at a pricing range of Rs. 10.88 lakh – Rs. 13.373 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi).
