Volkswagen T-Roc R-Line can be had in multiple petrol and diesel engine options with 4Motion AWD in top-end variants

Volkswagen T-Roc R-Line is sold in several international markets in multiple configurations and it can be had in a variety of engine options including 1.5-litre TSI petrol, 2.0-litre TSI 4Motion, 1.6-litre TDI SCR and 2.0-litre TDI while the range-topping diesel is a 2.0-litre TDI 4Motion. The transmission choices include six-speed manual and seven-speed DSG automatic.

The German manufacturer debuted the more hardcore R version of the T-Roc at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show last month and it uses a 2.0-litre four-cylinder TSI producing 300 PS and 400 Nm torque. It is equipped with a 4Motion all-wheel-drive system and a seven-gear DSG dual-clutch automatic gearbox as standard.

The Volkswagen T-Roc R is claimed to accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in just 4.9 seconds before reaching electronically limited top speed of 250 kmph. The R-Line, on the other hand, is not as sporty as the R version but very handy enough in most of the regular driving conditions and it has been showcased at the 2019 Shanghai Motor Show.

To make it standard apart from the regular India-bound T-Roc, the R-Line gains redesigned radiator grille with polished silver band of anodised aluminium on the underside, a specific design strip running over the side panels and doors, newly designed bumper, dual exhaust pipes, optional 19-inch Pretoria dark graphite matt alloy 235/40 R19 wheels and so on.

The T-Roc R-Line can be had in unique paint jobs in international markets like the exclusive R colour Lapiz Blue Metallic or Pure White Uni, Flash Red Uni, Turmeric Yellow Metallic, Deep Black Pearl Effect, White Silver Metallic, Energetic Orange Metallic and Indium Grey Metallic.
