The customised Volkswagen Polo received a new headlamp with LED daytime running light, sportier bumper and black alloy wheels
Volkswagen launched the Polo GTI three-door hot hatch in November last year. The performance oriented model was sold in a limited number of 99 units only. It seems one of the buyers of a regular Polo hatchback wanted to transform his or her car into a GTI model and here comes the customised Polo GTI four-door model.
Modified by the Grid7 Customs, this hatchback gets quite a few updates at exterior in an attempt to become sportier. Up front, this customised Volkswagen Polo hatchback received a new front grille with aggressive honeycomb mesh pattern and twin horizontal red trims just like the original Polo GTI. Also, there is a GTI badge as well that enhances the authenticity of the hatchback.

The headlamps come with dual LED headlamps along with integrated LED daytime running light. This certainly enhances the visual appeal of the car and the front bumper received a new blackened central air intake along with large air dams at both sides. At the front profile, it appears like a real Polo GTI has been modified with a headlamps and custom bumper.
However, the side profile reveals the truth that it is actually a regular Polo hatchback customised to become a Polo GTI. It gets larger blackened and sporty alloy wheels and skid skirt as well. Apart from that, it comes with blackened glass area, black ORVM caps. The rear profile has been updated with a black roofspoiler, LED taillights and the bumper too has been tweaked in order to make it sportier.

The interior too has probably received some updates. It is not sure if the customised hatchback gets an engine update or not. The standard Volkswagen Polo GTI model comes powered by a 1.8-litre TSI petrol engine paired with a 7-speed DSG automatic gearbox. The engine is capable of churning out 189 bhp of peak power and 250 Nm of peak torque.
