Vespa will launch updated VXL 150 and SXL 150 during festive season with new colours and refreshed instrument cluster

Piaggio India is all set to launch the updated 150 cc Vespa scooters during upcoming festive season. The Vespa VXL 150 and the SXL 150 will receive new brighter paint schemes and updated instrument cluster as well. However, there won’t be any change on the technical front. Expect the updated 150 cc scooters to be slightly higher priced compared to the current models.

The Vespa VXL 150 and SXL 150 premium scooters sport analog and digital combo instrument cluster. These instrument consoles are expected to receive a new design enhancing the style further. On the colour front, the current Vespa VXL 150 is available with five different paint scheme options that include Yellow, Red, Matt Black, Green and White. The Vespa SXL 150 comes available in four different colour options that are Orange, Matt Black, Matt Red and White.

The powertrain of both the scooters will remain unchanged. Both the VXL 150 and SXL 150 draw energy from same 150 cc single-cylinder, OHC engine with MAP sensing and Variable Spark Timing Management. Paired with a CVT the BS-IV emission compliant engine is capable of churning out 11.6 PS of peak power at 7,000 rpm and 11.5 Nm of peak torque at 5,500 rpm.

Expect the fuel efficiency to remain same as well. On the braking front, Vespa VXL 150 and the Vespa SXL 150 get 200 mm front disc brake and 140 mm rear drum brake. On the suspension front, the scooters receive single side front arm suspension and hydraulic shock absorber at rear.
