The Tata Harrier will now be offered with USB Type C Ports in the front row as a standard part of the package

The Tata Harrier and the Tata Safari are currently positioned as flagship SUVs in the brand’s portfolio and are offered with a long list of features and a premium cabin. The Indian carmaker recently announced a major update for the top models of both SUVs in addition to a price hike across the range.

For starters, the Tata Harrier will now be offered with USB Type C Ports in the front row as a standard part of the package while XZ and above variants will also get Type C Ports in the second row. The buyers of the XZS and higher variants will also get enhanced ESP, which includes panic brake alert, after-impact braking and driver doze-off alert.

In addition to this, the XZ+ variants will now be offered with features like electronic parking brake, disc brakes on all four wheels, wireless charger and updated features for iRA. The Tata Safari on the other hand will also get similar features with the same variants as the Tata Harrier. The Gold Edition models however will only get enhanced features for iRA.

The new iRA features include features like smartwatch app connectivity, feature usage analytics, monthly health report, auto and manual DTC check and drive analytics. The XZ+ variant also gets comfort head restraints as standard. For those wondering, most of these features were first introduced in the Jet Edition models of the Harrier and the Safari.

In addition to the new features, the brand also announced a price hike of around 0.9 per cent across the range for the buyers of both SUVs. The price hike comes after the brand reported a higher cost of production inputs used in the assembly of vehicles.
