Tata Motors is developing lots of new models from small hatchbacks to full-size SUVs, 4 new cars to launch soon
Tata Motors is one of the fastest growing manufacturers in the country. The company launched Harrier last month and it debuts the new OMEGA platform along with Impact Design language also. They are working on so many new models in the pipeline including a new platform and products from hatchback to full-size SUVs along with electric cars also.
1. Tata 45X
Tata Motors is working on a new premium hatchback and it will be the production version of 45X concept showcased at the 2018 Auto Expo. The upcoming model will also debut the new Alpha platform and the hatchback is expected to share most of the design elements from the concept version like the grille, floating roof line etc. The front might get dual headlamp setup like the Harrier and it is likely to come with 17-inch alloy wheels.
The rear will get new LED tail lamps and an integrated spoiler also. The interior is expected to follow the same design theme of new generation Tata Cars and the instrument cluster will be a mix of analogue and digital. The company will pack the hatchback with lots of features and the engine options include petrol and diesel engine with manual and auto also.
2. Tata Hornbill
The company is developing a new compact SUV and the concept version is expected to make its debut at the Geneva Motor Show in March followed by the production model to be revealed at 2020 Auto Expo. The upcoming model could be named as Hornbill and it is likely to be based on the new Alpha platform. The Hornbill design will be based on the Impact Design language.
The micro-SUV will be a sub-four meter model and the interior is expected to continue premium design theme from current models with lots of feature like touchscreen infotainment system, climate control and more. The engine options will likely include petrol and diesel with the option of either manual or automatic.
3. Tata H7X
Tata Motors has already confirmed that there will be a seven-seater version of Harrier and it is codenamed as H7X. The upcoming model will be based on the same OMEGA platform derived from D8 platform of Land Rover Discovery Sport. The SUV will share the same wheelbase as Harrier but the other dimensions will increase as it will be a seven-seater SUV.
The exterior design theme will be similar to Harrier but they will some changes and it could carry the same dual-headlamp setup with new alloy wheels. The interior will come with more premium features like a panoramic sunroof, 360-degree camera and more. The H7X will be powered by same 2.0 L engine with 174 PS and it might come with both manual and auto gearbox also.
4. Tata Tigor EV
Tata Motors is planning to launch its electric vehicle in India soon and it is likely to be Tigor EV as they are already manufacturing for government officials. The Tigor EV comes with the same design theme as a regular model but we can expect some minor changes like new alloy wheels along with some EV graphics.
The Tigor EV comes with a 3 phase AC induction motor and it produces 40.23 bhp. The top speed of Tigor EV is 100 km/h and it is expected to have a range of 130 km. Tata Motors is also offering fast charging as the battery can be charged from 0 to 80 per cent in just 90 minutes and 6 hrs with the regular charger.
