Over the next three months, at least five new SUVs are expected to launch in the Indian market and here we have brought you all the key info:

1. Citroen C3 Aircross:

The prices of the Citroen C3 Aircross will be revealed next month in India and it will be sold in five- and seven-seater configurations. The midsize SUV sits on the same platform as the C3 compact hatchback. The heavily localised CMP could give the French brand the opportunity to aggressively price the model. It derives power from a 1.2L turbo petrol engine, linked with a six-speed manual transmission.

The Honda Elevate will be introduced around September and it will be retailed in four trims namely SV, V, VX and ZX. Based on the same platform as the fifth-gen City, the five-seater has the highest ground clearance and largest bootspace in its segment. It will be available only with a 1.5L four-pot VTEC petrol engine kicking out 121 PS and 145 Nm, paired with a six-speed MT or a CVT.

3. Tata Punch CNG:

With the arrival of the Hyundai Exter, Tata is expected to up the ante by bringing in the CNG variant of the Punch in the coming weeks. It was displayed at the 2023 Auto Expo and will feature a dual tank setup, helping it to save bootspace. The 1.2L three-cylinder NA petrol engine will produce around 69 PS in its CNG mode and it will be hooked with a five-speed MT.

A new 1.2L DI turbo petrol engine will likely replace the existing Revotron unit.

5. Toyota Compact SUV:

Toyota will more likely launch a compact SUV coupe based on the Maruti Suzuki Fronx this festive season. It could get minor exterior and interior changes compared to its donor while the 1.2L petrol and the 1.0L turbo petrol engines could be utilised.
