2019 will also be an equally exciting year for the Indian motorcycle enthusiasts, at least half a dozen new motorcycles launching next year

2018 has been a  good year so far for the motorcycle enthusiasts of the country. We have seen plenty of new launches in almost all the two-wheeler categories. Royal Enfield launched the 650 twins, while Honda introduced the X-Blade, on the other hand, we also saw Hero launching the new Xtreme 200R.

We also have witnessed the re-entry of an iconic motorcycle brand Jawa as well. Besides just the motorcycles we also saw some interesting scooters too launched this year including the Suzuki Burgman Street and TVS NTorq 125. Just like this year you can also expect the year 2019 to also be filled with lots of new and exciting two-wheelers launches as well. That said, here is the list of upcoming motorcycles which will launch in 2019.

1. 2019 Bajaj Dominar

We have seen the motorcycle being tested on some treacherous roads of India and you can all expect that the updated 2019 model of the Dominar to arrive soon as well. The motorcycle will get some significant cosmetic as well as mechanical changes including all new USD forks towards the front which will replace the existing telescopic units.

While it will most probably also get a DOHC configuration for the engine instead of the SOHC unit currently seen on the 373 cc mill. The motorcycle could also get a higher power and torque output as well. In terms of cosmetic updates expect the 2019 Dominar to also get a new engine bash plate, exhaust muffler and possibly new colors as well.

2. Hero XPulse 200 and XPulse 200T

Hero Motocorp took the covers off from a new Xpulse version at the 2018 EICMA motorcycle show. It is called the Xpulse 200T and you can all expect it to go on sale alongside its adventure-tourer version the Xpulse 200. The newly unveiled motorcycle shares all its mechanical parts with the Xpulse 200 including the engine, headlamps, instrument cluster and frame.

The Xpulse 200T too will get a single channel ABS as well. However, Hero Motocorp has changed the seats and riding posture to make it more comfortable for the riders. The Xpulse 200T comes with a more relaxing riding position, lower ground clearance, and a different set of handlebars. The motorcycle also gets a luggage rack to carry additional luggage more easily.

3. KTM 390 Adventure

We all expected KTM to unveil the 390 Adventure at the 2018 EICMA motorcycle show but unfortunately, things did not go according to to the plan. The bike has been in the news for quite some time now and KTM officials said that they will be launching the 390 Adventure soon in India. The motorcycle will be based on the Duke 390 platform and will use the same engine as well. You can expect this motorcycle to be showcased at the 2019 EICMA motorcycle show and will launch by the end of 2019.

4. Benelli TRK 502

The middleweight adventure-tourer motorcycle was caught testing on Indian roads recently and thus you can expect Benelli to introduce the motorcycle soon in India. 5. Triumph Scrambler 1200

It may not be your usual Adventure Tourer but the Triumph Scrambler 1200 can actually perform when the tarmac gives up on you. This motorcycle is powered by the same 1200 cc unit which actually powers the Thruxton R as well. However, the engine has been tuned to produce more torque on the lower revs in this motorcycle. In the International markets, the motorcycle is available in two variants – the XC and XE but Triumph will bring only the XC variant in India as of now.

6. BMW R 1250 GS

There is no doubt in the fact that the  R 1250 GS is the most popular Adventure Tourer that you will find in the world today. The popular motorcycle has received some mechanical updates for the year 2019. The biggest change however is the new boxer engine.
