In this generation, companies can interact with its customers easily thanks to social media sites and take their opinions for future products. Kia recently conducted a poll for selecting name for its upcoming SUV vehicle. Looks like Mahindra is also going the same way and the upcoming product might come with a desi name.
A twitter user asked Anand Mahindra, whether there is any chance of an Indian name for upcoming vehicle and he replied by asking for some suggestions. Twitter was flooded with lots of suggestions like Dhaakad which means tough and strong to Sanskrit word Daruya, Daruga, Bahubali, Sugreeva, Balahak and more.

All Mahindra vehicles names including Scorpio, Xylo, Bolero and Vertio ends with “O”, so one user suggested Shastro which means weapon. Then Anand Mahindra expressed his gratitude to everyone in twitter for suggesting names and he said that competitors will also be able to access this useful information on his timeline.
We can’t confirm that whether Mahindra will put forward these names but there is a possibility. The India manufacturer is currently working on couple of new products which will be launched soon, one of the new products is S201 compact SUV based on SsangYong Tivoli X100 platform and the second product is U321 MPV to take on Toyota Innova Crysta.

The S201 has been testing for a very long time and the recent test mules come with production body parts and lights which gives us a hint that the launch might happen soon. Even though exterior design is different from SsangYong model, the interior has lots of similarities like dashboard design, instrument cluster and features.
The S201 comes with touch screen infotainment system, climate control, push button start, key less entry, alloy wheels and more. Mahindra S201 is expected to be powered by 1.99 L mHawk engine producing 140 hp of power and 320 Nm of torque. This engine is mated to 6 speed manual and automatic transmission. Mahindra will pitch S201 against Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Ford EcoSport and Tata Nexon.
