Kia Seltos SUV will be sold in three engine and four transmission choices; gets a raft of segment-first features

Kia Motors India is preparing to launch the recently unveiled Seltos in the domestic market on August 22 and it will be offered with 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol (115 PS/144 Nm), 1.5-litre turbo diesel (115 PS/250 Nm) and 1.4-litre turbo petrol (140 PS/242 Nm) engine options. All three powertrains can be had with a six-speed manual transmission as standard.

However, each engine option has exclusive automatic transmission: a CVT on 1.5-litre petrol, a six-speed torque converter AT on 1.5-litre diesel and a seven-speed DCT on 1.4-litre petrol. Courtesy of a Youtube video, we have now got to know the variants and the list of features offered in each of them.

The video containing leaked information says Kia Seltos will be sold in eight variants: 5 for diesel (TE, TK, TK+, TX and TX+) and 3 for petrol (GTK, GTX and GTX+). Kia will load the Seltos with features right from the base variant as the TE gets four-speaker audio, follow-me-home headlamps, dual airbags, ABS with EBD, rear AC vents, etc. kia seltos features-5
