Jeep officially confirmed the compact SUV for Indian and other emerging market during their five-year presentation. The American manufacturer officially introduced Compass last year which is the most affordable product from the company in India and it has become the segment benchmark. The company has managed to produce more than 3000 units each month.
Jeep manufacturer right hand drive version of Compass only in India and export to all other right hand markets like Japan, UK to name few. The success of Compass is giving confidence for the company to introduce more affordable products and the upcoming subcompact SUV is one such vehicle.

Jeep will also introduce Renegade in India as the company was waiting for global debut of facelift model which happened earlier this month. The Renegade get subtle changes at front and rear along with minor changes for the interior which make it more attractive. We can expect Renegade to be priced really well in India.

The company will increase annual capacity to 2.4 lakh unit from the current 1.6 lakh units.

Jeep is going to position the subcompact SUV above Ford EcoSport as the company is confident that premium position along with brand value of the company will help the upcoming model to replicate success of Compass in India. The compact SUV will be introduced in other global markets but the debut will happen in India.
Even though it will be entry level model of Jeep, the company won’t compromise on anything as it will be a true a Jeep model. The American manufacturer will focus on dynamics as the competitors excel in this field and it will focus on off-roading characteristics as well as possibly an affordable 4×4 system. We can expect Jeep to introduce the subcompact SUV by 2020.
