Hyundai Santro in Marina Blue colour spotted at a dealership yard ahead of the launch on October 23rd
Hyundai is going to launch the much awaited new Santro on October 23rd and the company previewed the model to media earlier this month. The production of Santro has already begun at the Chennai plant and the company has dispatched initial units to dealerships across the country. The Santro has been spotted again at a dealership yard and this time in Marina Blue Colour.
The company is offering the Santro in seven different colour options and most of these colours are already offered in other Hyundai models also. The latest spy images also reveal the interior and this particular model doesn’t come with the contrasting interior colour as it gets black and beige colour theme with aluminium finish on the three-spoke multi-function steering wheel.
The interior design of Santro is simple and the AC vents get a unique design. The quality of materials used inside the cabin is really good and the gear lever is integrated into the centre console like Grand i10 with power window controls are placed on it.
Hyundai has given class-leading features for the Santro like 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and Mirror Link, Bluetooth connectivity, UBS charging ports, rear AC vents, steering mounted audio control, four-door power windows, rear camera with parking sensors and more.
The Santro is based on the HA platform of previous generation i10 but the company has made lots of changes on the platform to make it better and the company has used 63 per cent high strength steel to make the body stronger. Hyundai has also focused on NVH levels and the Santro comes with one of the quietest cabins in its class.
The upcoming hatchback is powered by a 1.1 L petrol engine with 69 PS and 99 Nm. The power is sent to front wheels via 5-speed manual and AMT gearbox, which is a first for Hyundai and it will be introduced in other models also. The claimed mileage of Santro is 20.3 kmpl and it is also available with CNG. The Santro is priced between Rs. 3.87 lakh and Rs. 5.38 lakh (Ex-Showroom).
