Hyundai has planned to launch at least 5 new cars in the country that include all-new models and facelifts

Hyundai Motor India Ltd (HMIL), the Indian subsidiary founded in May 1996, is currently the second-largest carmaker in the country. It’s well-known that the carmaker has plans to launch a number of new cars. Here’s a look at all the upcoming Hyundai cars:

1. Hyundai Styx

The first of the upcoming Hyundai cars in India is a sub-4-metre model that will be rivalling the Maruti Vitara Brezza, Ford EcoSport, Tata Nexon, and the Mahindra XUV300. Expected to be called the Styx, the new SUV will be based on the Carlino concept that was unveiled at the 2016 Auto Expo.

The launch of the new vehicle is expected to happen in coming months following the gloal premiere at NY Auto Show next month. It will probably cost between Rs. 6.5 lakh and Rs. 10 lakh (ex-showroom), thereby almost touching the Hyundai Creta territory. Power options for the first compact SUV from the Korean auto giant will include a 1.0-litre turbo petrol and a 1.4-litre turbo diesel engine. Both motors should offer manual and automatic options.Hyundai Sytx

The battery offers a driving range of 320 km in the UK cycle. As per the carmaker, the electric vehicle can accelerate from zero to 100 kmph in just 7.6 seconds.

3. New Hyundai Grand i10

The next model in our list of upcoming Hyundai cars in India is the all-new Grand i10, which will launch by Diwali this year. The new model will try to regain the sales that the current i10 has lost to the Maruti Swift. The new model will be based on an updated platform and will be powered by a BSVI compliant version of the current vehicle’s 1.2-litre four-cylinder Kappa engine.

The new model will be available with a 5-speed manual transmission and an AMT. Spy images have revealed that the design of the new car won’t be entirely different from that of the current model. However, you can expect the car to feature the latest cascading grille and a more dynamic side profile.
