As many as five new Maruti Suzuki and Hyundai SUVs will soon be launching in the country in 2023

Maruti Suzuki and Hyundai are currently gearing up to update their portfolio in the country and will soon be launching many new cars in 2023 including five new SUVs including a new Baleno-based crossover and the Hyundai Creta facelift. Here are all the details you need to know about these upcoming SUVs in the country.

Upcoming Maruti Suzuki SUVs In 2023

Maruti Suzuki will soon be launching the new Baleno-based crossover in the market to take on the rivals like the Tata Punch, Nissan Magnite, and Renault Kiger in the country. This new SUV will be based on the lightweight HEARTECT platform and will be offered with two engine options – 1.2L NA petrol and 1.0L turbo petrol Boosterjet engine.

5-Door Maruti Suzuki Jimny Spied

The Brand will also be introducing the new Jimny 5-door at the Auto Expo 2023. When compared to the global spec version, this new Jimny 5-door will not only be longer but ina addition to this will also be offered with a 1.5L K15B petrol engine that will be offered with automatic as well as manual gearbox options. Once launched, it will take on the rivals like the Mahindra Thar and the Force Gurkha in India.

Upcoming Hyundai SUVs in 2023

The Hyundai Creta is currently the best-selling SUV in its segment and will soon be getting a mid-life update in the country. The Korean carmaker will be launching the new Creta facelift in the next couple of months and will be offered with many new features and cosmetic changes including ADAS safety suite. More details are yet to be known.

The Hyundai Ioniq 5 will also make its Indian debut soon and will be positioned above the Hyundai Kona EV in the market. Once launched, it will take on the rivals like the Kia EV6 and will be offered with two battery pack options – 72.6 kWh and 58 kWh. The Ioniq 5 will be brought into the country via the CKD route and will get RWD as well as AWD setup depending on the variant you opt for.

In addition to the Creta facelift and the Ioniq 5, the Korean carmaker is also expected to launch a new micro SUV in the market to rival the cars like the Maruti Ignis. Internally codenamed the Ai3 micro SUV, this upcoming Hyundai SUV will be based on the K1 platform and is likely to share its powertrain options with the Grand i10 Nios.
