26Hero Xtreme 200S
The world’s largest two-wheeler manufacturer Hero MotoCorp had showcased the Xtreme 200S street-fighter at the 2016 Auto Expo. A few days back, our sources close to the company revealed us that the Xtreme 200S will be launched in India anytime this month. The motorcycle will the second 200cc category product by the company after Karizma and is expected to churn out some good numbers as the respective segment is currently on a high.
The Hero Xtreme 200S looks more or less similar to its 150cc sibling. The motorcycle comes with a sharp headlamp section that further gets complimented by twin positioning lights. The sporty dual tone step up seats, fuel tank extensions and multi coloured alloy wheels are the prime visual highlights of this motorcycle.
Powering the Hero Xtreme 200S, as the name suggests, is a 200cc, single cylinder engine that will come mated to a five-speed gearbox. The motor sheds out respective power and torque figures of 18 bhp and 17 Nm.
The braking to the Hero Xtreme 200S is done with the help of disc brakes at both ends and ABS (Anti-Lock Braking System) is likely to be on offer at least as an option. The suspension system comes with conventional telescopic forks at the front along with twin shock absorbers for the rear. The instrument cluster on the Xtreme 200S will be a digital analog unit that will come with ABS warning light, low fuel warning, low battery indicator and a lot more.

The Hero Xtreme 200S is expected to be priced close to Rs 90,000 for the Indian two-wheeler market. The bike will challenge the likes of the TVS Apache RTR 200 and the Bajaj Pulsar 200 NS.
