Mahindra certainly has a very strong grip in the Indian UV market with its range of models. The homegrown auto major is aiming to increase the stake further with more new products. One of the upcoming Mahindra cars is the Toyota Innova Crysta rivaling MPV that is codenamed as U321. Mahindra has been testing this car for quite some time and it is likely to break cover very soon. This car bears the typical aggressive design visible in several other Mahindra models.

Speaking about its design, the Mahindra U321 MPV will carry an aggressive front grille with teeth like vertical slats visible in XUV500 SUV. Also, there would be large headlamps with projector units and integrated LED daytime running lights. The front bumper will sport neatly positioned fog lamps with chrome trim around them. A skid plate would be there as well.

Moving to the side profile, this MPV will boast sporty 16-inch alloy wheels with Apollo Apptera tyres, turn indicator integrated ORVMs, blackened glass area. Thanks to being dimensionally long and wide, the MPV will come with strong road presence. Expect it to carry thick black cladding at the lower side profile. Moving to the back, this MPV will feature vertically positioned LED taillights, a chunky bumper and an integrated roof spoiler.

Not only exterior, inside the cabin too this MPV will arrive with a strong and stylish look. To compete with Toyota Innova Crysta, Mahindra will certainly design it with premiumness. It will get multifunction steering wheel, analog and digital display consisting instrument cluster, a touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. A layered looking dashboard, high quality seat and upholstery materials will be there along with ample space and comfort on offer.

On the powertrain front, Mahindra U321 MPV is expected to come with the brand’s tried and tested 1.99-litre mHawk diesel engine under the hood that will be able to churn out generous amount of power and torque output. Transmission options will include both manual and automatic units, while the engine will be able to deliver impressive fuel efficiency. Upon arrival, Mahindra U321 could come priced between Rs. 11 lakh and Rs. 17 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi).
