UM Motorcycles’ Mumbai dealership opened; with the new sales outlet the total number reaches to five across India

UM Motorcycle has launched its first dealership in Mumbai, which also marks the fifth dealership of the company in India. The new dealership in Mumbai is called as the Western UM and it is situated at 7/8 Borkar Compound, Westeren Express Highway, near Megathane at Boriveli East. The new dealership is spread over an area of around 2,900 square feet, and it also comes with an after sales service facility.

This dealership will offer the customers a test ride facility of Renegade Commando and renegade Sports S. Talking about the launch of this new showroom, Mr. Rajeev Mishra, the Director of UML, has said, the Mumbai showroom is an important milestone for the company in its extensive dealership network rollout program. He also believes, the new showroom in Borivali will allow the company to meet the demands of customers.

Mr. Karan Mendon, the Proprietor of Western UM said, that this new dealership we will try to meet the demands of the rapidly growing UM Motorcycle enthusiasts in Mumbai. The American motorcycle manufacturer is focusing on the growth in India, and the new dealership comes as a part of that network expansion.

The Renegade Commando and the Renegade Sports S are two of the widely popular models from the UM Motorcycles. The Renegade Commando is a low slung cruiser, drawing power from a 280 cc engine mated to a six speed transmission. This engine churns out 25 bhp of peak power at 8,500 rpm and 21.8 Nm of torque at 7,000 rpm. It is priced at Rs. 1.61 lakhs (ex showroom, Mumbai).

On the other hand, the renegade Sports S shares the same engine with the Commando, but it is a bit sporty model compared to the Commando. Pricing for this model is 1.51 lakhs (ex showroom, Mumbai). On the suspension front it comes equipped with telescopic suspension at front and dual shock absorbers at rear. The renegade Commando on the other hand features hydraulic telescopic front suspension and spring rear suspension.
