TVS Victor crosses one lakh sales milestone in just nine months; earned around 8 percent market share in the Indian motorcycle market

All-new TVS Victor has touched 1 lakh unit sales milestone in just 9 months since its launch in January this year. The Hosur-based two-wheeler manufacturer has captured nearly 8% of market share with help of this motorcycle. The company expects its market share to reach around 10% – 12% in Indian motorcycle market in next 2 years, and TVS Victor is supposed to play a pivotal role in TVS’s growth plan.

With 1 lakh units sold in just 9 months means, the all-new TVS Victor is selling more than 10,000 units every month. The motorcycle is positioned in the highly competitive 110cc commuter segment, where Hero MotoCorp has a stronghold with Splendor and Passion Pro. Managing such an impressive sales figure in short span, and that too competing with established models like Splendor and Passion Pro is really commendable.

Speaking about new sales milestone of TVS Victor, Mr. Arun Siddarth, Vice President of marketing (Motorcycles), TVS Motor Company has said that, the company is confident about more growth of the TVS Victor. The motorcycle comes with practical and smart styling. It has been appreciated for smooth ride quality and impressive features.

Power source for TVS Victor is a 110cc single-cylinder, three-valve Ecothrust engine, which is mated to a 4-speed transmission. This engine kicks out 9.6 PS of peak power at 8,000 rpm and 9.4 Nm of peak torque at 6,000 rpm. It also offers an impressive 76 kmpl of fuel economy, which makes it pretty appealing for daily city commuting.

TVS Victor is available in two different variants, drum brake and front disc brake variant. The motorcycle runs on tubeless tyres and suspension duty is done by telescopic front forks and 5-step adjustable hydraulic spring suspension at rear. The drum brake variant is priced at Rs. 50,715, while front disc variant gets a price tag of Rs. 52,715 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
