TVS Tyres to launch MRF REVZ Y&M Rival that will target FZ and Gixxer owners, expected to be priced competitively and to offer superior grip
TVS tyres have had a bad reputation since day one as their Eurogrip is quite frankly called EuroSlip. The tyres made by them are totally focused on longer life rather than safety and grip in wet and while braking. However, all that is set to change as this big news confirm it plans to enter the enthusiast market with this tyres. MRF has been ruling the roost as it continues to be great with meeting manufacturer demands.
For example, MRF was so jealous of Metzeler tyres that it is set to be working its counterpart is set to offer at half the price. All thank Bajaj and KTM Duke 390 launch. Seems like TVS wants into a position where MRF is pretty much unmatched. Meanwhile, MRF goes even higher as it wants to counter Metzeler and Pirelli, the parent company of Metzeler, after producing tyres MRF Revz and Zapper series of tyres, which are available for Ninja 300, RS200, Yamaha and Suzuki motorcycles.
On the face of it, the tyre seems to be made of Silica. The tyre size is most definitely 140 section or above. The soft compound tyre always have a very charcoal color to them. MRF tyres of the past such as the 120 and 110 section have been non radial aka cross ply tyres. Expect the launch of this tyre with a new TVS product which will enter the 160cc segment and above.
We can expect a proper launch of these tyres soon and be made available directly to FZ and Gixxer consumers. These radial, soft compound tyre should be segment best when it comes performance and life. The pricing will be under Rs. 4000/- very likely. TVS is all set to gain the enthusiast trust and should see more of this from TVS tyres soon.
