TVS is planning to launch a new scooter soon and we expect it to be the heavily updated version of the Jupiter 110
TVS Motor Company has sent an invite to us confirming that a brand new product will be launched soon. We are riding the product, which appears to be a scooter, this month in Hosur and we expect teasers and launch campaigns to be underway soon. The invite accompanies a teaser showing what looks like a new LED Daytime Running Light that does not suit any of the existing models.
The homegrown manufacturer has several new models under development and it finally launched the iQube in its top-spec ST trim in India a couple of months ago and back in August 2023, the X electric scooter was introduced. The scooter range will further be expanded as new variants of the iQube seem to be in the works and the nameplate has been posting good sales numbers in recent times, courtesy of the expansion in availability.
Reports indicate that the industry-first CNG-powered scooter based on the Jupiter 125 is also on the horizon. But, the teaser could be of the updated Jupiter 110 as the CNG scooter could be some time away. The Jupiter 110 has been in the business since September 2013 and is one of the top-selling scooters in the domestic market, competing firmly with the Honda Activa.

The heavily revised 2024 TVS Jupiter is expected to get a redesigned front end, new headlamps with integrated curved LED DRL, new LED tail lamp and body panels. We expect TVS to offer new paint schemes as well as new body graphics to spice up the proceedings but the same 109.7 cc air-cooled single-cylinder engine could be retained, paired with a CVT.
The powertrain currently makes 7.77 bhp at 7,500 rpm and 8.8 Nm at 5,500 rpm of peak torque. Currently, the TVS Jupiter is priced at Rs. 77,100 for the base variant and it goes all the way up to Rs. 92,700 for the top-spec Classic version (ex-showroom). The prices could be increased upon the arrival of the new model. The suspension and braking hardware could receive minor updates too.

TVS already offers SmartXonnect connectivity with the Jupiter 110 and expect the cluster to be a new all-digital unit with more information. The existing Jupiter is equipped with telescopic front forks and coil spring with hydraulic damper rear suspension and it runs on 12-inch wheels.
