TVS Sport Silver Alloy Edition Launched In India Celebrating 20 Lakh Sales

The TVS Sport Silver Alloy edition is available in two colour options – Black Silver and Volcano Red

TVS launched Sport commuter bike in 2007 and the model has been very well received in the commuter segment. Then in 2015, TVS introduced a refreshed version of Sport with updated styling and the Hosur based manufacturer introduced the BSIV variant last year in India. The company has launched Sport Silver Alloy Edition to celebrate 20 lakh sales milestone of the product.

The only difference for Silver Alloy Edition compared to standard variants is that the alloy wheels are finished in silver colour. The Sport Silver Alloy edition is available in two colour options – Black Silver and Volcano Red while the regular model is available in 8 colours – Indigo Streak, Emerald Green, Volcano Red, Team Blue, Mercury Grey, Blaze Red, Dazzling White and Electric Green.

TVS Sport Silver Alloy Edition

TVS hasn’t made any mechanical changes for the Sport as it is powered by 100 cc single cylinder air-cooled engine producing 7.40 hp of power at 7,500 rpm and 7.50 Nm of torque at 5,000 rpm. This engine is mated to 4 speed manual gearbox. According to ARAI, the sport returns 95 kmpl in standard testing conditions.

TVS Sport comes with option of kick and electric start and 12 litres of fuel tank which is one of the biggest in the segment. To extract maximum efficiency, the Sport gets Econometer on the instrument cluster with ECO and Power mode options. The Sport doesn’t get disc brakes as the company has given 130 mm drum at the front and 110 mm at rear.

TVS Sport comes with telescopic front suspension and 5 step adjustable shocks at rear. TVS is currently working on new generation of Star City with the updated 100 cc engine from Victor. This engine produces more power and offer better efficiency. We can expect this engine to be introduced in Sport later this year.

TVS Sport Silver Alloy Edition is priced at Rs. 38,961 (Ex-Showroom, Madhya Pradesh) and it competes against Bajaj CT 100 and Hero HF Dawn at the entry level commuter segment.
