TVS Rockz scooter spied testing near Chennai; expected to be priced at around Rs. 45,000
TVS is gearing up to bring some fresh products in the Indian market in near future and one of them could be the Rockz 125 cc scooter that has been spied testing in the country near Chennai. Upon launch, this could be the first step-thru model from the homegrown brand in India and it could appear with a price tag around Rs. 45,000 (ex-showroom, New Delhi).
The TVS Rockz doesn’t look aesthetically very attractive, but it looks practical and this model could fetch a good sales number in rural markets across the country that are proving to be game changer in terms of sales volume for two-wheelers. Considering the fact that Indian scooter market is growing rapidly, this could be in the list of TVS Motors’ next few offerings in its bid to boost sales number and market share as well.

The TVS Rockz gets power from a 125 cc engine that is capable of churning out 9.8 bhp of peak power at 7,500 rpm and 9.8 Nm of peak torque at 7,500 rpm. This model is already pretty popular in Indonesian market and it fetches an impressive sales number there every month.
Apart from the practical design, the TVS Rockz gets some exciting features that are not available even in the premium scooters available in domestic market. These features include an USB music player with FM radio. It also gets immobilizer and side stand lock in its Indonesian version.

No wonder, such features will help in enhancing its appeal to the buyers. But, it is not sure if the homegrown brand will offer these features in the India-spec model. As the test mule of the scooter has been spotted here, we can expect the brand to be in the final stage of preparation before unveiling the model here and we could see it at upcoming Auto Expo 2018.
Interestingly, the TVS Rockz test mule has been spotted just a few days after the TVS Dazz. As we have already reported, the TVS Dazz could be the brand’s next offering in the highly competitive 110 cc scooter market of India.
