The 2018 INMRC marks a special occasion for TVS Racing as the first edition of TVS One Make Championship with race-spec RR 310 bikes in the open category is being introduced

TVS Racing is all pumped for the 2018 edition of the INMRC (Indian National Motorcycle Racing Championship) kicking off with the opening round on 8th of June at Kari Motor Speedway in Coimbatore. The factory racing outfit of TVS Motor Company is competing in two competitive categories this season: Group B – Super Sport category and Group C – Pro-Stock category. Both comes under the 165 cc segment.

The team with rich track pedigree will also field the new, race-tuned Apache RTR 200 Race Edition 2.0 in the TVS One Make Novice category, the TVS Ladies One Make Series and also the TVS Young Media Racer series we are participating in.

The TVS Racing riders in the Group B and C categories will be racing on the TVS Apache GP 165 R motorcycle. Building on last year’s success, when Jagan Kumar scored double hat-trick of championship titles, along with winning both team and manufacturer’s title in Super Sport category for up to 165cc motorcycles,TVS Racing is on a roll with the new one-make series preparations.

Following selection process recently, the TVS One Make Championship RR 310 sees 12 racers competing in the open category for over five rounds. They track-prepped Apache RR 310 comes equipped with a race-tuned exhaust, improved induction system, specially mapped Electronic Control Unit and modified foot pegs for better race ergonomics.

As for the powertrain, it uses a tuned 313 cc, single-cylinder, four-stroke, four-valve, liquid-cooled engine which is good enough to kick out 38 PS of maximum power at 10,300 rpm. The engine is fitted with fuel injection system with 40 mm Throttle body and boasts of a top speed of 175 kmph. It employs unique reverse inclined DOHC (double overhead cam) engine with LCOC (liquid-cooled oil coolant) technology.

The TVS One Make Series witnesses 16 racers vying for the spotlight in the novice category while 16 female racers tussles for glory in the Ladies One Make Series. The will be saddled on the new Apache RTR 200 Race Edition 2.0, which is powered by a four-stroke, single cylinder, oil-cooled, four-valve engine with a peak power of 24 PS at 9,300 rpm and it can reach a top speed of 145 kmph.

The race machine is strapped on 17-inch Pirelli tyres with hydraulic dampers and will now be equipped with Slipper clutch, a modified cam shaft, a retuned front and rear shocks, race-tuned intake and exhaust system, re-tuned carburetor and optimized ignition system. The Championship also has 11 journalists racing against each other in the second edition of TVS Young Media Racer Program astride the new Apache RTR 200 Race Edition 2.0 for three INMRC rounds.
