TVS Giving Free Performance Upgrades For Apache RR 310

Apache RR310 TVS Design Challenge

TVS will upgrade the Apache RR310 of the existing owners completely free of cost if they take their motorcycle to the nearest showrooms

Believe it or not, TVS is offering performance upgrades to the owners of the Apache RR310. The performance upgrades include an ECU remapping, replacing crucial parts like bar-end weights, visor and chain roller absolutely free of cost. TVS motors are sending text messages to the existing owners of the Apache RR310 across the country asking them to come down to their nearest TVS dealerships in order to get these free performance upgrades.

The revision of ECU mapping will help enhance the performance of the stock motorcycle. Although this is still unknown whether this change will help increase the overall power output of the Apache RR310 or not yet. The Apache RR 310 uses a 312 cc reverse-inclined, single cylinder, liquid cooled, 4-valve fuel injected unit to power the motorcycle.

This engine generates about 34 PS of peak power at 9,700 rpm and 27.3 Nm of peak torque at 7,700 rpm and is paired to a 6-speed gearbox. Besides the new ECU, the Chennai based two-wheeler manufacturer will also replace the existing windshield of the motorcycle with a new one.

The new visor will help reduce vibration and also enhance the aerodynamic ability of the fully faired sportsbike. There were quite a few complaints from the motorcycle owners about some vibration issues from the handlebars at mid-range. TVS Motors has decided to address the issue by replacing the current bar end weights with heavier units.

Lastly, TVS motors will also change the chain roller of the RR310 as well. Hopefully, these changes will help the Apache RR 310 owners to extract more performance out of their machines. TVS launched their flagship offering back in the year 2018 and it shares the same engine with the BMW G 310 R and the BMW G 310 GS.

Unfortunately, the motorcycle failed to meet the sales target set by the company in recent months. TVS was able to sell only 185 units of the Apache RR 310 in December 2018. Hopefully, the new free upgrades will help cheer up their existing customers and also help boost the sales figures soon.
