TVS Dazz is going to be the brand’s new offering in 110 cc scooter segment; likely to launch soon
TVS Motors showcased the Dazz step-thru at the 2016 New Delhi Auto Expo and now it seems the 110 cc scooter’s launch in domestic market is imminent. A test mule of TVS Dazz has been spied testing near Hosur in Tamil Nadu fueling speculation about its launch. We can assume the brand will roll out this model in the country market sometime in early 2018.
While there is no confirmation from the homegrown two-wheeler manufacturer about its launch date, TVS Dazz already sells in Indonesian market and it has grabbed pretty good attention there. Designed to impress, TVS Dazz scooter comes with a dual-tone body paint scheme. It gets a lean look and there is a large headlamp, swept back sleek turn indicators positioned at the front cowl.
There is an informative and large instrument cluster with analog dials. To ensure practicality and comfort for the rider, TVS Dazz gets a front compartment with USB charger and a spacious footboard as well along with flat seat that gets stylish dual-tone stitching. Rear gets a sleek and sharp look with compact taillight.
It gets a 5.3-litre capacity fuel tank and the scooter weighs 92 kg. Power source for the TVS Dazz is a 109.65 cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine coupled with a CVT. This engine is well capable of churning out 8.34 bhp of peak power at 7,500 rpm and 8.30 Nm of peak torque at 5,500 rpm.
For braking duty, the scooter is equipped with a 200 mm front disc brake and there is a 130 mm rear drum brake as well. TVS Dazz relies on telescopic front forks and single rear shock absorber for suspension duty. This 110 cc scooter runs on 14-inch alloy wheels with front sporting 80/90 section tyre and rear featuring 90/80 section tyre.
TVS is yet to reveal further details about the pricing of this scooter, but we can expect it to sport a competitive price tag. With Dazz’s practicality and affordability, TVS aims to grab greater share in the Indian scooter market that is currently ruled by Honda with its Activa range. Upon arrival it will join the other models from the brand Scooty Pep Plus, Zest 110, Wego and Jupiter.
