TVS Apache RTR 200 4V gets Bosch sourced fuel injection system; comes with improved performance and better efficiency
TVS has launched the Apache RTR 4V FI in India priced at Rs. 1.07 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi) that is Rs. 8,800 premium over the carburetor model. It comes equipped with closed-loop fuel injection system sourced from Bosch. TVS claims, the fuel injection system improves the bike’s performance, efficiency and throttle response. But, the bike is currently available in select cities across the country and it will be rolled out for other cities gradually.
The fuel injection system equipped TVS Apache RTR 200 4V’s 200 cc single-cylinder engine is capable of churning out improved power and torque output. It kicks out 20.70 bhp of peak power at 8,000 rpm and 18.10 Nm of peak torque at 7,000 rpm. The oil cooled engine also ensures that this bike accelerates to 60 kmph from standstill position in just 3.9 seconds.
The fuel injected bike also comes with a top speed capability of 129 kmph compared to the carburetor version’s 127 kmph. In terms of design, the newly introduced fuel injected version of the TVS Apache RTR 200 4V gets a small visor in front of the digital instrument cluster. Apart from this small change, the bike remains same as the carburetor model. Colour options for this bike are Pearl White ad Matte Yellow.
While the fuel injection system certainly adds zing to the bike, it still misses out a necessary safety feature like dual-channel ABS. This bike comes promising 41 kmpl of mileage. It runs on 17-inch alloy wheels wrapped with tubeless tyres.
For braking duty, the TVS Apache RTR 200 4V FI relies on 270 mm front disc brake and a 240 mm rear disc brake. Suspension duty is done by 37 mm telescopic front fork up front and rear gets monoshock absorber. Overall, with the introduction of the fuel injection technology, this bike becomes more appealing compartd to the carburetor model.
