TVS plans to sell over 800 units of Apache RR310 every month; aggressive pricing could play key role in sales
TVS has just launched its much expected flagship bike Apache RR310. The bike has grabbed everyone’s attention thanks to the extreme sporty design and very aggressively pricing as it comes priced at Rs. 2.05 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). TVS is now aiming to sell 10,000 units of the bike in 12 months with an average of more than 800 units per month.
Pre-booking for the bike has already begun across the country and TVS promises to deliver the Apache RR310 to the initial buyers across India through its 40 plus dealerships. Considering the fact that TVS has seen pretty good response with its Apache series, the all-new Apache RR310 is expected to hit jackpot. The high demand for high performance sportsbikes is also going to play important role in the expected success story of this model.
Speaking about the all new TVS Apache RR310, it takes design inspiration from the Akula 310 concept displayed at Delhi Auto Expo. What’s more interesting is this bike shares the engine with BMW G310R, another much awaited high performance premium bike in the country.
The faired Apache truly grabs attention at the very first glance with its sculpted appearance. It features twin LED projector headlamps, a tall and sporty windshield. There is a unique looking horizontally positioned long all digital instrument cluster showing various informations and a chunky fuel tank that adds masculinity to the bike. It gets low positioned rider seat and a split stepped up pillion rider seat. The scorpion LED taillight at the narrow tail section too comes with an unique appearance.
Speaking about its powertrain, TVS Apache RR310 draws energy from the BMW sourced 313 cc liquid-cooled engine that is coupled with a 6-speed transmission. This engine is capable of churning out 34 bhp of peak power and 27.3 Nm of peak torque.
For suspension duty, it gets USD front forks and monoshock absorber at back. For braking duty, both the wheels come equipped with disc brakes combined with dual channel ABS. This bike is expected to throw tough challenge to Kawasaki Ninja 300, Yamaha R3, KTM RC390 and even Bajaj Dominar 400 as well.
