TVS Apache 200 Faired and Naked Versions Caught Testing

2016 TVS Apache 200 Spied

TVS Apache 200 Faired and Naked versions caught testing in Indonesia, India launch in Auto Expo ?

TVS Apache 200 Faired and Naked Version have been spotted testing. How can one say that despite they look so similar? One motorcycle has been spotted sporting a conventional handlebar. Meanwhile the other bike gets dedicated clip-ons. When these bikes reach production stage, and since they are being tested now, the fairing will be slapped on to the clip-on variant. The clip-on bike will end up fighting the Bajaj Pulsar RS200. Handlebar variant will fight the NS/AS 200 Pulsar.

As we know these test bikes have a completely new engine with the SAME crankcase as before, it depicts the gearbox is mounted upwards to make the engine and gearbox compact and in center for better weight distribution. Engine on the face of it looks air-cooled and is said to have an oil-cooler just like the Pulsar 220.

Suspension duties at the front are fatter telescopic front forks and a new monoshock setup at the rear seen for the first time. We can see an engine cowl like before and split seats will be a new thing for TVS.

Octagonal twin-exhaust can has seen on these bikes and they are clearly something new and unexpected. An LED tail lamp and LED at the front are expected too. Indian spec motorcycles have been spotted with digital meter and features list is quite good indeed.

Apache should even be more fun to ride now thanks to wider tyres, better brakes and suspension. Engine should make something between 25-30 BHP of power and good amount of torque from a peppy engine which is expected from the Hosur company. Launch scheduled for Auto Expo 2016.
