Triumph Brings Exclusive Turntable And Vinyl Album

The turntable is inspired by Triumph Street Cup 900 cc café racer; music album features 10 British rock bands

British motorcycle brand Triumph is gearing up to launch a retro vinyl music record and a turntable inspired by the Triumph Street Cup 900 cc café racer. As the bikemaker says, the vinyl album features 10 up-and-coming British rock bands. However, both the vinyl album and the turntable come as limited edition. Only two units of the turntable have been built and the Vinyl album is available in a limited number of 500 units only.

The turntable has been designed by British company Rega and it sports a line drawing of the Street Cup and the Yellow paint has been taken straight from the café racer, which certainly enhance the exclusivity of the turntable. It also comes with a glass platter and a mat printed with Street Cup wheel design. As the British brand says, the turntables get hand-assembled precision built RB110 tonearm focusing on the vinyl enthusiasts.

The two turntables will be given away on the official Facebook and Twitter accounts of Triumph to the lucky winners. Speaking about the Vinyl album, 10 British rock bands have submitted two tracks each and one track from each brand were finally selected on the basis of the votes from Triumph’s Facebook page followers.

A number of British rock bands from these 10 will perform at the Bike Shed in London’s Shoreditch on 29th August and the bike manufacturer will launch the turntable and the vinyl album at the event.

Speaking about the idea of launching the turntable and vinyl album, Triumph Motorcycles say that rock ‘n’ roll music were a major part of the café racer motorcycling culture in 1960s. The company also says that the vinyl album along with the exclusive turntable come as a tribute to that culture and these are expected to enhance the brand’s retro style motorcycle’s appeal further.
