Triumph slashed prices in Malaysia as T120s and Thruxton R have been reduced by RM 7,000 and Rs 8,000 respectively
British two wheeler maker triumph has reduced the pricing of three of its popular motorcycles in Malaysia. Prices of the 2016 Triumph Bonneville T120, T120 Black and the Thruxton R have been slashed up to RM 8,000. Fast Bikes is the official distributor of Triumph in Malaysia.
The dealer has announced that the Bonneville T120s come cheaper by RM 7,000. Pricing has been dropped from RM 79,900 to RM 72,900. Also the pricing of the Thruxton R has been slashed by RM 8,000 and comes available at RM 83,900 instead of RM 91,900.
Both the Triumph Bonneville T120 and the T120 Black come with the retro styling and sporty character. These motorcycles get power from a new 1,200 cc parallel twin Euro-IV compliant liquid cooled engines. The engine churns out 79 hp of peak power and 105 Nm of peak torque at 3,100 rpm.
The torque amount produced is 54% higher than the previous generation model’s air cooled engine’s output. Both these motorcycles sit in the ‘Sport Classic’ range.
The ‘Sport Classic’ range also includes the 2016 Triumph Street Twin. This model gets power from a 900 cc liquid cooled parallel twin engine. Triumph Malaysia has not reduced the pricing of Street Twin though. The third model included in the price reduction scheme is the sportier Thruxton R. Power source for this model is the same 1,200 cc liquid cooled parallel twin Euro-IV engine. But the engine is tweaked to kick out 96 hp peak power and 112 Nm of peak torque at 4,250 rpm. It generates 62% higher torque amount than the previous version.
The British two wheeler manufacturer is present in Indian market as well. And the brand is becoming popular quietly. The company sells both the all new Bonneville T120 and the Thruxton R in the country. We hope the brand reduces price in India as well, taking inspiration from the Malaysian market.
