Triumph Set To Launch 6 New Motorcycles In India By 2019

Triumph has plans to not only launch new products but also expand their dealerships to reach out more people within the next couple of years

Triumph has never given up on the Indian market because they know that it has got a lot of potential. Although there have been some changes in their top management recently,  they have not stopped Triumph from announcing an aggressive product strategy for 2019.

The British motorcycle manufacturer who is well known across the globe for their adventure motorcycle Tiger series and modern classic Bonneville range will be launching a total of 6 new motorcycles here within the year 2019. Triumph’s current motorcycle price range starts from Rs. 7.7 lakh and goes all the way up to Rs 22 lakh for the top end Tiger 1200.

Now, the 6 new motorcycles which will be a launched soon will be a mix of new as well as an updated range. Currently, Triumph sells a total of 13 models in India in total which also includes various trims. According to the report, the brand’s major sales figures come from the top 20 tier 1 cities. However, they do feel that their customer base is spread throughout the entire 400 major cities of India.

So in order to get the attention of the rest of the customers, Triumph will be inaugurating a couple of new dealerships as well within the next two to three years. This will help Triumph to reach some smaller towns and cities which in turn will help them expand their overall reach. Currently, Triumph has a total of 16 dealerships across India while they also have planned to add another 9 dealerships taking the overall count to 25.

The motorcycles which are expected to launch in the Indian market soon includes the updated Street Twin, Street Scrambler and bigger and more powerful Scrambler 1200. As far as their other three motorcycles are concerned Triumph will be taking the covers of the rest at the Intermot or EICMA this year.

Recently Triumph has also tied up with Bajaj to produce smaller capacity motorcycles. You can expect these motorcycles to also launch in the next couple of years which will help increase their sales figures in India as well.
