Out of these, one will be a Bobber based cruiser while the other will be reportedly an updated Speed Triple

Triumph Motorcycles will launch two bikes on the coming 3rd October. One of them will be a Bobber based cruiser that was spotted testing few months back somewhere in Spain. Another one will reportedly be the 2018 Speed triple that is due for an update for a very long time.

Besides the launch of these two motorcycles, Triumph Motorcycles will also be inaugurating a visitor center at its headquarters in the United Kingdom at Hinckley. For this, the company has already started sending out invites and has tweeted the information through its official Twitter handle.

Coming back to the bikes to be launched, as already mentioned, first up is the cruiser that will be positioned in the company’s Bonneville line up. The motorcycle will come based on the Bobber but will come with a double seat configuration unlike the retro classic that comes fitted with a single saddle.

The motorcycle will have the same underpinnings as the Bobber and will likely come fitted with the same 1200cc, parallel twin engine that runs the British style icon. Power and torque are expected to lie close to 76 bhp and 106 Nm respectively.

The upcoming motorcycle will have a different riding position, courtesy the forward set footpegs and a relatively smaller 16-inch wheel up front that will have twin disc brakes fitted to meet the purpose better. And besides the pillion seat, the rear end will sport a backrest too.

If this bike comes to India, it is expected to be priced close to Rs. 10 lakh (ex-showroom). If this happens, the Bobber cruiser will be a perfect option for those who are on a lookout for a powerful and laid back machine at this price point. Currently, the Triumph’s cruiser range in India starts with the Thunderbird Storm at Rs. 14.45 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
