Toyota Veloz Tigre concept is being showcased at the 2016 Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show; features sporty and aggressive avatar
Japanese auto manufacturer Toyota has showcased the Veloz Tigre concept at the 2016 Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS). The concept is the sporty and aggressive avatar of the Veloz MPV. The Veloz Tigre MPV concept comes with some cosmetic updates. Expect the design elements to make their way into the future version of the MPV.
The front fascia of the car sports angular headlamps with a thick chrome bar joining the two clusters. The front bumper looks massive with a large aggressive looking air intake finished in glossy black. Above the air intake the red accent enhances the appeal of the car. The hood comes with some sharp creases running toward the nose section.
The side profile comes featuring aggressive looking alloy wheels, side body cladding, with red accents, side turning indicator integrated wing mirrors, roof rails, and blackened glass area. The roof also gets a black finish The rear profile sports an integrated roof spoiler, vertically placed taillights, black accents at both the ends between the roof spoiler and taillights. Also the rear bumper has been updated with a black rear bumper with red accents. The car also gets a silver rear skid plate.
It’s not clear, whether, the interior of the car has received any update or not. But expect some cosmetic updates to make their way into the cabin as well. The interior of the standard Veloz comes with multifunction steering wheel, three round dial consisting instrument cluster. The center console gets a digital display screen. In terms of space the MPV is very comfortable and quite spacious.
Dimensionally, the Toyota Veloz regular model measures 4,200 mm in length, 1,660 mm in width, 1,695 mm in height, 2,655 mm of wheelbase. The fuel tank capacity for the car is 45 litres. The power source for the concept car is the same 1.4 litre DOHC dual VVT-I petrol engine like the regular model. The engine churns out 96.5 PS of peak power at 6,000 rpm and 12.3 Kgm of peak torque at 4,200 rpm.
