The total sales of Toyota in October 2023 stood at 20,542 units as against 13,143 units with a YoY growth of 56.3 per cent
Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) reported a total of 20,542 unit sales in the month of October 2023 as against 13,143 units during the same period last year with a YoY positive sales growth of 56.3 per cent as the brand breached past the 20,000 mark for consecutive months. However, in comparison to the previous month, a MoM sales decline of 7.3 per cent was noted.
The Japanese auto major garnered a market share of 5.3 per cent as against 3.9 per cent with a YoY gain of close to 1.4 per cent as it finished sixth in the overall manufacturers’ volume table. The Innova range stood tall ahead of others as the combined volume numbers of Innova Crysta and Innova Hycross were at 8,183 units.
Compared to the corresponding period twelve months ago with 3,739 units, a YoY volume surge of 119 per cent was noted. The Toyota Glanza premium hatchback finished in the second position with a domestic tally of 4,724 units as against 3,767 units during the same period in 2022 with a YoY sales increase of 25 per cent.

The Glanza is currently the most affordable model offered by Toyota in India. The rebadged version of the Maruti Suzuki Baleno will be accompanied by another badge-engineered model in the name of Toyota Urban Cruiser Taisor next year. The compact SUV coupe will likely get minor exterior and interior changes compared to its donor, the Maruti Suzuki Fronx.
The Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder finished in the third position with 3,987 unit sales as against 3,384 units in October 2022 with a YoY positive volume increase of 18 per cent. The Toyota Fortuner full-size SUV was the fourth most sold model within the brand’s domestic portfolio as 2,475 units were registered against 2,031 units.
This led to a YoY sales increase of 22 per cent while the recently launched Toyota Rumion finished in the fifth position with 792 unit sales. The Toyota Camry Hybrid garnered a total of 197 units against 59 units with 234 per cent growth on a YoY basis. The Toyota Hilux and Vellfire covered the seventh and eighth places respectively.
