Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) has today announced the prices of the highly anticipated Innova Hycross in the domestic market. Much to everyone’s surprise, the new generation Innova carries a competitive starting price of Rs. 18.30 lakh for the regular petrol G seven-seater and it goes all the way up to Rs. 28.97 lakh for the range-topping strong hybrid petrol (ex-showroom).

The Japanese auto major hosted the global debut of the Innova Hycross on November 21, 2022 in Indonesia and four days later, the premium MPV was revealed in India. Offered in seven- and eight-seater configurations, the Innova Hycross is based on the modular TNGA-C platform extensively used by Toyota globally.

The monocoque chassis enables bigger proportions compared to the Innova Crysta as it has a 100 mm longer wheelbase and more importantly, the third-gen Innova has switched to the traditional front wheel drive layout as opposed to the RWD configuration in the Crysta. The exterior has been through a myriad of changes and has an SUV-like stance with an upright front fascia.

The Innova Hycross also comes with the Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 suite of driver-assistive and safety technologies (ADAS) including lane departure warning, auto high beam assist, rear cross-traffic alert and blind spot monitoring. It derives power from a 2.0-litre four-cylinder NA petrol and a 2.0-litre four-pot strong hybrid petrol engine.

The former is paired with a CVT while the latter is linked with only an e-CVT. The strong hybrid petrol variant has a claimed fuel efficiency of 21.1 kmpl and also features a dedicated EV mode.
