Toyota Hikes Car Prices By Upto Rs. 5.65 Lakh In India

Toyota increased the price across the portfolio from Rs. 9,500 for the Etios and goes all the way up to Rs. 5,65,000 for the flagship Land Cruiser LC 200

Toyota officially announced last month that the company is going to increase price across the portfolio by 4 per cent and it will come into effect from this month onwards. The price hike across the products have been revealed. The Etios and Etios Cross model price has gone up by Rs. 9500 for both petrol and diesel models.

The Etios range now starts at Rs. 6.98 lakh and Etios Cross at Rs. 6.59 lakh (both prices, Ex-Showroom). The Etios Liva petrol and diesel models price has been increased from Rs. 9,500 to Rs. 12,000 and the hatchback now start at Rs. 5.67 lakh for the petrol and diesel model at Rs. 6.98 lakh (both prices, Ex-Showroom).

The price of diesel and petrol variants of Corolla Altis price has been increased by Rs. 18,000. The entry-level petrol variant of Corolla Altis has priced at Rs. 16.63 lakh and Rs. 17.89 lakh (both prices, Ex-Showroom) for the diesel variant. Toyota has increased the price of both diesel and petrol variants of Innova Crysta by Rs. 18,000.

Toyota Fortuner TRD Sportivo

The GX entry-level petrol variant of Innova Crysta has now priced at Rs. 15.01 lakh and the diesel variant price starts at Rs. 15.57 lakh (both price, Ex-Showroom). The Fortuner received a major price hike of Rs. 31,000 for both petrol and diesel models. The petrol variant of Fortuner now starts at Rs. 27.89 lakh and Rs. 29.99 lakh (Ex-Showroom) for the diesel.

The Land Cruiser Prado price has been increased by Rs. 3,70,000 and it is currently available in a single variant, which now starts at Rs. 1 Crore (Ex-Showroom). The Land Cruiser LC 200 received a price hike of Rs. 5,65,000 and the flagship SUV is priced at Rs. 1.52 crore.

Toyota hasn’t increased the price of both Yaris and Prius. According to the company, the reason for the price hike is because of rising production costs, which was caused by rupee depreciation. Most of the manufacturers have already announced a price hike in January.
