The Toyota Fortuner and the Ford Endeavour rivalling Isuzu MU-X facelift will look more modern and will have more features

The Isuzu MU-X facelift will launch in India on 16 October. The new model is already on sale in the international markets, where it was launched just a couple of months after its introduction in India. The updated SUV features a more modern styling that ends up making it look more upmarket. A bigger highlight is that it should be priced at roughly 24.99 lakh, which will make it look like a Value For Money (VFM) option in front of its rivals.

The revised front-end of the Isuzu MU-X facelift carries a bold grille along with an updated bumper and LED DRLs integrated into the projector headlamps. The bumper carries a new foglamp housing. Together, these changes give the SUV’s nose a more stylish look.

In the side profile, the only apparent difference is the introduction of the multi-spoke alloy wheels. The rear carries a new bumper and revised tail lamps with LED fixtures. This makes the rear-end look more premium.

The interior of the Isuzu MU-X facelift gets some revisions. The new model offers a beige-black interior upholstery instead of the black theme on the current model. The centre console and the steering wheel feature silver trim. The dashboard also gets some faux wood. The dated 7-inch touchscreen unit has been replaced with an 8-inch unit that offers Bluetooth and smartphone mirroring.

The updated SUV could also get some additional features like climate control, leather seats, cruise control, reverse camera with parking sensors, keyless entry, push-button start, steering mounted controls and more. Safety features for the new model will include dual airbags, ABS, Electronic Brake Assist (EBA), Electronic Brake Force Distribution (EBD), Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Traction Control System (TCS), Hill Start Assist (HAS) and disc brakes at all wheels.

While the international version of the Isuzu MU-X facelift offers 1.99 L and 2.5 L diesel engines, the Indian version will retain its 3.0 L turbocharged oiil burner, but in a BSVI-compliant format. Currently, the engine outputs 176 PS and 380 Nm. Power is sent to all four wheels through a 5-speed automatic gearbox.
