Toyota Calya mini MPV made its global premiere at 2016 GIIAS earlier this year; will be an attractive proposition for India
Toyota Calya is a mini MPV, which made its global premiere at the 2016 Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS), earlier this year. In the Indonesian market, the Calya is positioned in the Low Cost Green Car (LCGC) segment. Calya comes heavily inspired by the Daihatsu UFC-3 concept, which was showcased at the 2014 GIIAS.

In India, Toyota has seen immense success with the Innova, which launched in its new avatar as the Innova Crysta earlier this year. And the Innova Crysta too earned quite positive response in short time. With the emerging markets like India keen toward the utility vehicles, Toyota might consider launching the car in the country in near future.
Considering the success of the Toyota Innova in India, if the Japanese auto manufacturer launches the Calya in the country, the car will draw attention easily.
