Three new 7-Seater SUVs including the new MG Hector facelift will be launched in the country before the end of 2022
With a growing demand for 7-seater SUVs in the country, as many as three brands are all set to launch their new offerings in the segment in the next few weeks. Here is everything you should know about the upcoming 7-Seater SUVs in India.
1. MG Hector Plus Facelift
MG made its Indian debut with the launch of the Hector SUV to take on the rivals like the Tata Harrier, Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Jeep Compass, and other premium mid-size SUVs in the market. The brand will soon be launching the new Hector facelift in the country with an updated design, new features, refreshed cabin, and better safety features.
From what we know so far, the SUV will hit the showrooms soon and will be equipped with a segment-largest 14-inch HD touchscreen system, wireless smart connectivity, new graphics for the instrument cluster, and better safety tech. In addition to this, it will also be offered with ADAS which comprises of safety features like forward collision warning, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, blind spot detection and rear cross-traffic alert. No changes will be made to the powertrain options.
2. Mahindra Bolero Neo Plus
The Mahindra Bolero Neo is currently one of the most capable and VFM SUVs in the country and the Indian carmaker will soon be launching the new Bolero Neo Plus in the market for buyers looking for a more spacious version of the SUVs. Expected to go on sale by end of 2022, this new 7-seater SUV in India is expected to be powered by a Thar-sourced 2.2L mHawk diesel engine and will be offered with two seating configurations. No major changes will be made to the exterior styling.
3. 5-Door Force Gurkha
The Force Gurkha is currently one of the most capable 4X4 SUVs in the country and the brand will soon be launching a 5-door version in India. Reported to be offered with four seating layouts, the new Gurkha 5-door will be significantly larger than the present 3-door version and will be powered by the same Mercedes-Benz sourced 2.6L diesel engine.
Inside, the dashboard layout will remain similar and the buyers will continue to get a similar set of features with this SUV. Once launched, it will take on the rivals like the upcoming Mahindra Thar 5-door and Maruti Jimny in India.
