Mahindra XUV 300 comes with an all-new exterior design theme and is loaded with lots of features along with new petrol and diesel engines
Mahindra officially launched the much-awaited XUV 300 in India earlier this month. The XUV 300 is based on the SsangYong Tivoli platform and both models share lots of components, which helps the company to price the model aggressively. The compact SUV is available in four variants – W4, W6, W8 and W8 (O) – and the prices start at Rs. 7.90 lakh (ex-showroom). In this article, we take a look at the top 7 features of Mahindra XUV 300.
1. Dual-Zone Climate Control
The XUV 300 is offered with lots of segment first features and one of them is dual-zone climate control, which is usually offered only in more expensive cars. This system will allow both passenger and driver to set different temperatures and it is going to be very popular among customers.
2. Four Disc Brakes
The XUV 300 is the first model in its segment to come with disc brakes on all four wheels and it certainly improves the braking performance of the compact SUV. Mahindra is also offering ABS with EBD as standard across the range, which will further help the driver in braking.

This is one of the features which we usually see in slightly upmarket cars as the steering comes with three options – Normal, Comfort and Sport. In each setting, the feedback and response of the steering will be different.
4. 17-inch Alloy Wheels
The top-spec models of XUV 300 come with 255/55 section tyres with 17-inch wheels and this wider profile improves stability in high speed. The lower models come with 16-inch steel wheels.

Mahindra is offering the top-spec model of XUV 300 with 7 airbags while lower spec variants get dual airbags and the compact SUV also gets passengers airbag off switch also.
7. Powerful Engines
The XUV 300 is powered by 1.5 L diesel engine from Marazzo and it produces 115 bhp of power at 3,750 rpm and 300 Nm of torque between 1,500 – 2,500 rpm. This engine is mated to 6-speed manual gearbox. The 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine, on the other hand, produces 110 bhp and 200 Nm and is also connected to a six-speed MT.
