Mahindra’s Marazzo is doing really well in the market as the company has priced the MPV aggressively and positioned between Maruti Suzuki Ertiga and Toyota Innova Crysta.

The Marazzo is the first product developed by Mahindra North American Technical Centre and here are top five features on new Mahindra Marazzo.

1. Design

Mahindra took inspiration from the shark for the design of Marazzo as the front get new grille with projector swept back headlamps and fog lamps with integrated DRLs. The Marazzo comes with 16-inch alloy wheels and the window gets a chrome lining for a premium look. The rear tail lamps are small compared, but the design is new. Overall, the exterior design gives a fresh feel and different from the competitors.

2. Spacious Cabin

Mahindra has focused on interior space and the MPV measures 4,585 mm in length, 1,866 mm in width, 1,744 mm in height and the wheelbase is 2760 mm. The innovative engine mounting has helped the company to liberate more space inside the cabin and Marazzo comes with best-in-class shoulder room in 1st and 2nd row and best-in-class step-in-height. The company also offers the Marazzo in 7 or 8 seater configuration.

3. Surround Cool Technology

This design helps the cabin to be cooled in a quick time and the company has also given climate control.

4. New Transverse Mounted Engine

Mahindra Marazzo is world’s first transverse mounted engine with the body of frame chassis and front wheel drive configuration. This has also helped the company to improve ride and handling compared to regular MPVs. The Marazzo is powered by newly developed 1.5 L diesel engine producing 121 bhp of power at 3,500 rpm and 300 Nm of torque at 1,750 – 2,500 rpm. This engine is mated to 6-speed manual gearbox and returns 17.6 kmpl.

5. New Interior and Instrument Cluster

The design of the interior is completely different from other Mahindra models as the company has improved the quality of materials and the dual tone dashboard design gives an upmarket look also. The Marazzo also get a new instrument cluster with purple illumination and the company has given a MID screen in the middle, which gives lots for information about the vehicle.
